Description
Originally issued by Bickham in 1736-9 in parts, each containing 4 folio plates. Later issued by him in 2 v. of 100 plates each, with a separate t.p. for each volume. This later edition issued by Corbett has the same 2 v. format
Among the composers named are Handel, Purcell, Corelli, Turner, Green, Leveridge, Boyce, Gunn, Vanbrugh, Monro, Carey, and Lampe
Principally for high voice and figured bass. Part for flute printed at the end of most of the songs

Avid local chamber musicians, the Drs. Whitby have amassed a significant collection of antiquarian chamber music, which they have generously donated to the Music Library, Western Libraries. The Collection includes early editions of Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven alongside works of their contemporaries, namely: Boccherini, Cambini, Gyrowetz, Peter Hänsel, Krommer, Onslow, Pleyel, Romberg, and Spohr.
