Abstract

Visualization is a critical element of communicating science. In this session I will highlight how everything in my course has been altered to a visual story-telling format from the course syllabus, assignment instructions and guidelines and slides. Additionally the impact of how story-telling, metacognitive skill building through effective visuals have been transferred (or have they) to students will be discussed.

Elements of Engagement

I will be sharing links and educational resources and examples through links on the presentation. All elements of material discussed will be freely available to anyone who is interested in visualization methods in teaching/storytelling.
