This presentation outlines trouble source repair (TSR) coding and it's use in assessing conversations between persons living with dementia (PLWD) and their caregivers. Communication breakdowns in conversations between PLWD and their care partners are analyzed using TSR coding. In the future, coded transcripts will be assessed in order to inform and help improve care through person-centered communication methods.
