Physics and Astronomy Department

The Physics program at Western began in 1915. Over the intervening years, the Department of Physics and Astronomy has grown into a world class research and teaching facility demonstrating leadership in many fields such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging systems development, meteor physics, condensed matter physics and solar cell research.
