Description

Confirmed strong F2 tornado tracked across central Wellington County narrowly missing Fergus by approximately 2km. Could be considered a miracle there were no fatalities or major injuries. Tornado likely over 1km at widest. Wide swaths of trees in some places were snapped off like toothpicks and their debris was thrown hundreds of meters. Most buildings hit were heavily damaged with some being destroyed with their debris being thrown up to and over 1km. A helicopter survey noted up to 24 sheep on one farm had been thrown up to 500m and some were severely emaciated.
