Description

A squall line embedded supercell storm formed near Woodstock and proceeded east producing a tornado in Norwich and the south Niagara peninsula. The north side of Norwich took the brunt of the storm where the tornado inflicted severe damage to many buildings. The streets were filled in with downed trees and debris when EC investigator arrived. Rural farms also in its path were severely damaged with some barns being picked up and hurled by the tornado. No one was injured, but there were many close calls.
