Description

Noted as a “major tornado” leaving an 80km path of extensive damage and destruction. Originally rated an F3 but downgraded in 2005 to F2 “due to the fact that the cottages that are severely damaged are of questionable construction”. Although it was downgraded, a large stone house (cottage) was destroyed to down to the foundation which would question the F2 downgrade. Another large house was also destroyed in a similar way. Initial reports confidently came in as F3.
