Description

The second tornado touchdown likely from a strong supercell storm which tracked SE through Grey and Dufferin counties on the afternoon of August 22nd. Probable tornado witnessed coming in from the northwest as farmer took shelter. The barn which was destroyed was seen being whirled 200ft up into the air and then came crashing down to the ground in ruins. A nearby Manitoba maple tree was ripped out of the ground by the roots and laid down with an estimated 5 tons of earth attached to the base. Damage swath near cemetery was noted at about 30ft wide. Seems congruent with a higher F2 rating. (confirmed as well?)
