5th International Natural Disaster Mitigation Specialty Conference

Chair: Girma Bitsuamlak (Western University)

The Natural Disaster Mitigation Specialty Conference has particular focus on assessing the impacts of natural perils such as windstorms, convective storms, snowstorms, and wild fires. It will explore natural disaster impact assessment of infrastructure, mitigation techniques, and, given Western’s unique wind engineering history, experimental and computational modeling of wind effects, field measurement or post damage assessment of wind, wind-driven rain, snow, wind-born debris, wind loss modeling and climate change effects.
