Positioning for eliciting the ankle jerk deep tendon reflex while in bed and crossing leg, foot gently and passively dorsiflexed, S1>S2, tibial (sciatic) nerve, elicited with tromner reflex hammer (more difficult in older patients with +/- hip pathology as requires external rotation hip)
