Description

It’s no secret that textbooks can be expensive. The good news is, Open Educational Resources (OER) offer an accessible and engaging alternative to commercial textbooks and course materials. In my lightning talk, I'll provide an overview of Open Educational Resources (OER) and the benefit that they have to students, faculty, and instructors. I'll link OER to GIS by doing a Show and Tell of GIS-focused OER, before concluding with a message about how you can get started with using or creating them.
