Abstract
In this dynamic, interview-style plenary, Nicole Campbell (Western University Teaching Fellow) will engage in a live dialogue with Mark Daley (Western University's chief AI officer), to explore the evolving role of artificial intelligence in higher education. Framed as a conversation—echoing the personalized tutor model of the past—the session will unpack how AI might reshape teaching, learning, and educational sustainability. Together, they’ll interrogate what should be preserved, what must change, and what a truly human-centred future with AI could look like.
Elements of Engagement
The presenters will engage the audience with an interview-style plenary session. Time will be dedicated at the end of the interview to open up the floor to additional questions from the audience.
