Description
Vehicle transportation is a central part of mobility in modern society. Whether it be for leisure or work, humans spend a lot of time travelling. Car manufacturers are turning to artificial intelligence companies to help them develop advanced driver assistant systems that help improve the safety and experience of road travel. One solution is to incorporate algorithms that take into account the emotions of the driver in the decision-making process. This video focuses on three companies currently at the forefront of developing this technology: Cerence, Affectiva and Smart Eye AB, while providing a holistic view of the function, ethical concerns, and policy implications emotional AI perpetuates.
