Dr. Francisco Olea-Popelka is an Associate Professor in the department of pathology and laboratory medicine. He researches the the factors that impact health at the intersection of humans, wildlife, and domestic species in different environments, globally. He uses an interdisciplinary approach in which environmental, socio-economical, cultural, and political factors are considered when addressing different health challenges. He answers the question of “will the collectivistic approach needed to deal with the COVID-19 crisis translate into an increased collectivistic approach to climate action?"
