Description

An isolated strip of damage was found running WSW-ENE from Alexander Island to Spawning Bay on Lake Temagami after a strong storm battered the area on the night of August 7, indicating a probable tornado had occurred. A number of cottages and summer homes were destroyed or heavily damaged on five separate islands within a 4 mile linear distance. From the evidence given, an F2 rating could be applicable to this tornado as structures were blown off foundations and/or destroyed.
