Description

Noted as a freak wind and hail storm. Likely witnessed by Mr. Harry Hopkins, the Cabot Head lighthouse keeper and a friend of the owner of the farm which was hit. “A roaring, whistling noise” was noted. He said the tornado came from Lake Huron and cut a swath through the bush, 40 yards wide and half a mile long before striking the property.
