“Principal damage was central at Fernlea, four miles west of Delhi on No. 3 Highway and to the tobacco lands south of this.” “One side of a barn 145 by 55 feet at Fernlea was lifted and caved-in by the wind. Between Delhi and Fernlea many trees – including ornamental ones along the highways and also those in orchards were blown down.”
