Description

Possible F2 tornado. “Snow flurries common throughout Southern Ontario after strong winds.” “Freezing rain Barrie to Ottawa, a cold front brought snow from northwest reaching Niag(ara) Pen(insula) at night. Tornadoes occurred in the brief warm sector as well as very strong widespread winds causing extensive damage.” The worst storm to hit the Niagara region since the 1898 Merritton F3 tornado. (error in newspaper = “1899”)
