Description

Deadly and destructive tornado struck the north outskirts of Woodstock. Seen by a number of people in the immediate area, it appeared as a narrow funnel and was accompanied by a loud roar. One witness watched as the tornado tracked directly over a small house. The occupants of the house, an elderly couple were both fatally injured. A woman in the vicinity was thrown 20 feet but apparently uninjured.
