“That of last week seems to have originated in county Dundas, to have crossed the St Lawrence near Morrisburg and to have swept eastward, inclining as it progressed to the south.”
From Mountsberg (not Morrisburg?) Weather Log: “Very high wind from West.” “Wind very high. Heaviest hail storm that was ever known in this section before. Also very sudden fall in mercury from 83° to 43°.”
