Description

Significant destructive tornado crossed into Canada from New York State at Massena Point, where it was observed as a tornadic waterspout. (damage extensive in NY) It tracked through the south end of the town towards the north-east and on towards the Quebec border. A possible satellite tornado occurred “toward the rear” of Cornwall as two separate tracks were discovered. Another tornadic waterspout was sighted at the head of Long Sault, about 10km west of Cornwall.
