Abstract
CREATE CORRECT project usually provides the opportunity for students to learn corrosion science from another university in a different city. My exchange project is focused on the Corrosion Characteristics of Nodular Cast Iron Pipes for Water Supply.
The water treated by the water treatment plant can generally meet the national water quality standards. However, before the water reaches the user, it needs to pass through dozens or even hundreds of kilometers of water supply pipe network.
During the transportation process, water undergoes a series of complex physical and chemical interactions with pipelines such as corrosion. The water supply pipe network is like a huge reaction vessel. Corrosion of water supply pipes can cause iron ions to dissolve in the water, forming red and yellow water.
