Abstract
Brian (Kangze) Ren is the Corrosion Research and Training Experience awardee of the NSERC CREATE CORRECT program. Here, he explores societal, colonization, and decolonization aspects related to his research mobility between McMaster and Queen's universities in Canada. He explains discrimination, segregation, historical and present racism in his science disciplines, the history of colonization of Kingston, Ontario, and which societal and land-relational aspects power generation and nuclear power pose now and in future. He also highlights that it is not the responsibility of Indigenous peoples to educate non-Indigenous groups.
