Abstract

In 1862 Isaac Hellmuth traveled to England to collect funds for the foundation of an Anglican University in Upper Canada West. He met with the esteemed Reverend Peache and the daughters of John Graves Simcoe, who were happy to support his cause and led to the establishment of what is now known as Huron University College.
