Hear, Here is an audio documentary project in three neighborhoods in London Ontario, Canada: South of Horton, Great Talbot, and The Village. The way it functions is that orange street-level signs with a phone number on them allow users to access stories about the exact location where they stand. Each story is a personal narrative of 2 minutes or less. If they stay on the line users can leave their own story which will be added to the project if it fits the objectives. In this way Hear, Here becomes user generated.

Hear, Here is a partnership between the City of London Culture office and Western University’s Public History Masters Program that began in 2018. Along with the signs and phone system, the project includes a website (www.hearherelondon.org) and a brochure. Hear, Here London is based on the original 2015 Hear, Here ( www.hearherelacrosse.org ) project in La Crosse Wisconsin USA.
