School Principals' Work and Well-Being in British Columbia: What They Say and Why It Matters
In this age of unprecedented accountability and countless reforms, principals feel that they are being asked to continually step up and add more tasks to their list of day-to-day duties with limited or reduced resources. Principals have been known to work long hours, struggle with work–life balance, and experience significant stress and mental health issues. The aim of this study was to build on our previous work and investigate how work intensification influences overall principal well-being in Ontario and British Columbia.
