CPSX incorporates various groups and entities including the departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical and Materials Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Physics and Astronomy, Earth Sciences, Biology, and Geography but they are connected by five interdisciplinary core Research Themes: earth observation, monitoring, and protection; exploration technologies; planetary processes; planetary materials, and galactic and stellar processes.
