The presenter will demonstrate how she uses one of her favorite research topics, The Aesthetics of Toilets in Japanese Culture, not only to teach North American students about one of the most fundamental aspects of Japanese culture that is rarely included in academic texts, but also to introduce herself and her services as an East Asian Studies librarian to students.
