Description

Confirmed (Colchester) and probable (Amherstburg) tornado associated with squall line running through Southern Ontario and Ohio. 8 killed and hundreds injured in the US. 12+ people had to be rescued from the Detroit River as boats ran aground in Amherstburg.

Funnel clouds were observed in the Colchester area at the time of the storm. Trees and cars littered the streets. Parts of buildings were torn off (from trees falling?)
