Abstract
Dr. David Heinrichs is a Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Western University. Dr. Heinrichs has a background in microbiology and obtained a doctorate at Queen's University. His research investigates the molecular basis of Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections, with a special focus on the mechanisms MRSA uses to acquire growth promoting nutrients. Brigid Sterling had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Heinrichs to learn more about his career path and his research.
