Abstract

Report of the CAML/CUMS Conference held at Dalhousie University as part of the Learned Societies meeting, May 2003. Archival jazz collections, library renovations, collecting popular music in the academic library, and the upcoming merger of the National Library of Canada and the National Archives of Canada were among the session topics. John Rea, Composer-in-residence at the Scotia Festival presented an invited lecture: "Postmodernity: <>"what do you want of me." The Saskatchewan Music Collection (Richard Belford), Classical Music in Iraq (Virginia Danielson), Canadian Theses and Dissertations at the National Library of Canada and Canada's "Virtual Gramophone" were also highlighted.
