For the first half of my Experiential Learning Credit, I worked for Brightspark Canada as an Educational Tour Leader. Brightspark Canada is a renowned travel company that operates out of Toronto, Ontario, and specializes in educational tours for elementary and high school students. As I tour leader, I travelled with schools to destinations such as Ottawa, Quebec City, and Montreal for days at a time and was responsible for executing the itinerary, providing historical spiels about the places with visited, and seeing to the safety of everyone in my group.

The skills most integral to the success of my job were communication, group management, and organization.

For the second half of my Experiential Learning Credit, I completed an internship with the Dean’s Office of Arts and Humanities as an Alumni Outreach and Research Coordinator. Working under the Arts Faculty’s Alumni and Development Officer. Working with Jessica Schagerl, I conducted outreach to prospective donors to the faculty as well as engaged former graduates in current A&H initiatives. In addition to discovering new alumni interested in supporting the faculty, I also worked to improve relationships held with current donors and supporters. The skills most integral to my success in this role were self-motivation, professional communication, and time management.

This report was submitted in conjunction with a live presentation as the final assignment for SASAH's Experiential Learning requirement.
