Abstract

Purpose

Previously we have reported that DNA damage (micronuclei) observed in cells (fibroblasts) derived from the rat lung following irradiation is present in shielded regions of the lung apex following irradiation of the lung base. The present studies extend these observations to examine the effect of partial-volume irradiation of the lung base.
