Description

Probable tornado as storm described as hurricane-like and 19mm (3/4in) hailstones fell, piling up so that it looked like it had been snowing. “Smiths Falls looked like a battleground with hundreds of trees uprooted…” A witness claimed to have seen a tree get lifted out of the ground and flung down. The temperature dropped 13°C as the storm passed.
