Abstract

The article focuses on the decline of agrarian sector in Caribbean region. It traces the development and domination of agriculture sector in this region when the region was entering the twentieth century before other sectors started flourishing. Detailed information on the impact of imperialism on the Caribbean area is presented in the article. However the governments have not been able to sustain development which was seen in the agrarian sector and this has a lot to do with the governments' apathy to this sector coupled with the economic policies of the developed nations.
