Publication Policies

Entrehojas is committed to open knowledge sharing and its content is freely accessible to the public. This broadens the dissemination and readership of published articles, and increases the impact of the articles and the recognition of their authors.

The following information clarifies the publication policies:

1. The publication of manuscripts is determined by the editorial process.

2. If a manuscript contains content of which the copyright is not owned by the author, the author must provide Entrehojas with the copyright holder’s permission for reuse prior to the publication of the manuscript.

3. Publishing in Entrehojas does not require a copyright transfer. The author retains the copyright of the article. However, the author must grant the first publication rights of the article to Entrehojas and agree to adopt the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial license for the article to facilitate knowledge sharing. (See Attribution and Usage Policies for details). If the author chooses to re-publish the article elsewhere in the future, the author must acknowledge as the source of first publication in the re-published version.

4.The author must also grant permission for Entrehojas, Western Libraries, and The University of Western Ontario to archive the article online, make it publicly accessible for download, and preserve it for perpetual online access. The author will receive a download statistics report if the article has been downloaded.

5. Entrehojas is not responsible for the author's opinions stated in the article. This responsibility lies only and exclusively in the author.

Attribution and Usage Policies

To facilitate knowledge sharing, the author retains the copyright of the article and agrees to adopt the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial license for the article.

The license specifies that:

  • The author grants the permission for the reader to copy, distribute, transmit, and/or translate the article.
  • The reader must provide attribution to the author and Entrehojas when reusing the article.
  • The reader may not reuse the article for commercial purpose.

Entrehojas automatically generates the license for the article during the publication process.
