The Stay On Your Feet (SOYF) program is a multi-strategic community-based fall prevention program. Baseline data collection took place in January 2004 prior to the onset of community initiatives aimed at increasing knowledge and changing behaviours and attitudes of community-dwelling older adults about falls and fall prevention. In addition to the SOYF program, a second study was conducted to gain insight into the thought processes of older adults when asked to retrospectively recall an event on personal fall history.
