Description

The window depicts threes scenes from the Life of St. Francis (from top to bottom): St. Francis Receiving the Stigmata; St. Frances Preaching to the Animals; St. Francis Giving to the Poor. Along the exterior border of the window are various floral motifs (roses, maple leaves, etc.) along the Apocalyptic Eagle of St. John at the lancet’s apex, and a small pamphlet with initials and dates (AD 1892 – 1979 F.B.T). The Initials correspond to person memorialized, Frances Beatrice Taylor. Dedicatory inscription: TO THE GLORY of GOD / AND IN / GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE of / THE LIFE OF / FRANCES BEATRICE TAYLOR. The window is singed: DESIGNED & MADE / BY / CHRISTOPHER WALLIS/ LONDON. ONTARIO / 1984 / ASSISTED BY GERI BINKS. Location: north side aisle, west wall. Lead Investigator: C.
