Philosophy of WURJ: Health and Natural Sciences

Who Can Submit?

All authors submitting a manuscript to the WURJ: Health and Natural Sciences are students at the University of Western Ontario (Western) and first author of their manuscript. Other Western and non-Western students can be listed co-authors. Also, Western and non-Western Faculty members can be co-authors. All authors must own copyright of the work being submitted or be authorized by the copyright owner or owners. The manuscripts submitted by students are typically conducted as part of summer research opportunities, independent study courses, thesis projects and general course work. Research conducted by a Western student at other academic institutions can also be published in the WURJ: Health and Natural Sciences.

Rights for Authors and Scholarship@Western

Authors who publish with the WURJHNS retain the copyright of their articles. To facilitate knowledge sharing, authors are encouraged to attach a Creative Commons Canada license to their articles. The recommended license is Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 2.5 Canada License.

General Terms and Conditions of Use

Users of the Scholarship@Western website and/or software agree not to misuse the Scholarship@Western service or software in any way.

The failure of Scholarship@Western to exercise or enforce any right or provision in the policies or the Submission Agreement does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any term of the Submission Agreement or these policies is found to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of the Submission Agreement and these policies remain in full force and effect. These policies and the Submission Agreement constitute the entire agreement between Scholarship@Western and the Author(s) regarding submission of the Article.
