Privacy Statement

At the Journal for Social Thought (JST) we are committed to maintaining and respecting your privacy. This statement describes the personal information practices for the JST website, including what type of information is gathered and tracked, how the information is used, and with whom the information is shared.

The JST web page may contain links to other websites. The JST and its Editorial and Advisory Boards are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these websites.

Information Disclosure

You can visit the JST web page without disclosing personal information. No attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits.

Authors of submissions will be asked to provide personal information that will be needed for correspondence. We may aggregate this data, removing all personal information, to allow us to evaluate our performance. We will not exchange or sell your email address to third parties unless permission is explicitly given. If you choose to provide us with personal information in an email message, we use it only to respond to your email.

Open Access Policy

The JST has an open access policy to help ensure that valuable knowledge is transferred without barriers to both academic and non-academic communities. As such, all articles published in the JST are free to download and use by any interested individual.

Archiving Policy

Articles from past issues will be archived and will be available on the JST webpage.

Indexing Policy

Articles in the JST may be indexed by databases such as Google Scholar, Proquest, or SocIndex to increase online exposure.

General Terms and Conditions of Use

Users of the Scholarship@Western website and/or software and members of the JST agree to not misuse or violate the general principles of the journal in any way. Any individual(s) who do not adhere to the principles of the JST or Scholarship@Western will be ineligible for membership. The failure of the JST or Scholarship@Western to exercise or enforce any provision, principle, or submission agreement does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Rather, the policies, principles, and submission agreements should be considered elements of the entire agreement between the JST, Scholarship@Western, and the author(s) regarding submission of the article.
