"Jesus saith unto her: Mary." Mary Magdelene, the patron saint of the penitents, was herself a model penitent of Gospel history. Seven devils were cast of her by Jesus. She is usually represented either as young and beautiful with long hair and holding a box of ointment, or as a penitent, in a sequestered place, reading before a cross or skull. The Easter morning meeting at the tomb suggests serenity and peace which are appropriate for the life of service given by Charles T.Sears. A chartered accountant, Sears served as an auditor for A.M.
